Recently I traded my leotard in for knee pads - best decision ever! After competing in gymnastics for 12 years, I have developed a passion for volleyball. Through volleyball, I quickly discovered the value of teamwork, as well as the camaraderie and loyalty that come with being a part of a team. Though I am a seven-time state champion gymnast, I have never looked back since making my transition to the volleyball court. I have no regrets regarding the time that I spent as a gymnast, in fact I am thankful that I developed tremendous strength, tenacity, and self confidence in my years of training and competition.
My love for volleyball has opened new doors for me. While playing on my high school team and on AAU travel teams, I have had the opportunity to learn about commitment, sacrifice, and teamwork. My strong desire to play beyond high school pushes me to work hard both on and off of the court. I am looking for a program that will push me to be the best student-athlete that I can be, but also one where I can contribute to the success of the team and experience of my teammates. I am confident that I have what it takes to be a valued member of a college volleyball team.
