Personal Statement
I have always aspired to be a collegiate athlete.
Athletically, I bring a great sense of pride and dedication to a team. I am focused on the game and what I need to do to improve myself every day at practice. In order to be successful as a team, every player must work hard individually so that we can push each other to be a strong team unit. I will bring a lot of positive energy to a team and will always strive to make the team better by pushing myself every day. Ever since I began playing volleyball I knew that I wanted to play in college because I love the sport so much.
Academically, I believe I am also a strong candidate because I have spent so much time focusing on my academics throughout my life. I know how to balance my athletics and academics so that I am successful in both areas. Time management is also an important skill that I have developed throughout my life which will become even more crucial in college.
I also enjoy taking part in community service activities including volunteering at my local food bank and have been altar serving at my church for the past 7 years. I am a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Yearbook Committee, and the Tri-M Music Honor Society at my school.
