My name is Brittany Bennet, and I am in the class of 2020 at The Wheeler School in Providence, Rhode Island. I am a 6'1" middle blocker/outside hitter on the U18-1 South County Juniors. I will be attending Tufts University, playing for coach Cora Thompson.

I am really looking forward to the process of finding a college that's a good fit with my interests. I am focusing on schools in the Northeast (within a 5 hour drive of Providence RI) with a strong academic ranking where I can continue to play volleyball.

- Fun fact - I am the only member of the class of 2020 on this U18 team. Coach Jay Guinan is a great teacher, and I am learning a lot about technique and strategy. In February I achieved a vertical leap of 27" according to my Vert Tracker.

- Competed in USA Volleyball HP Championship Tourney in Tulsa, OK July 22-28.

- Competed in major regional tournaments at U16 level as a 14 year old, including New England Winterfest, JVC Mizuno Boston Volleyball festival, and New England Regional Qualifier. In addition our team competed in multiple weekend NERVA tournaments.

- ActivitiesVolunteer work - Throughout the 2018-2019 school year I volunteered at We Share Hope, a food bank whose mission is to locate, gather, and distribute food and nonfood items to groups that feed the poor. I worked on taking inventory, stocking and pricing items, and operating the cash register.
