Personal Statement
As a student athlete I live by the saying “My main focus is to remain focused” and by doing that I will accomplish the ultimate goal of playing on the collegiate level. I grew a passion for the game when I began playing club my freshman year of high school. It was much different from my junior high school games and that’s what I liked about it. I like to be challenged and pushed to my limit. I aspire to become an Occupational Therapist with dreams of one day opening my own practice.
As a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, National Technical Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America and Student Body Vice President, it is evident that I exhibit great character and leadership on and off the court. I always go above and beyond to make sure my team or club get things done and enjoy themselves during the process.
Volleyball has been my world since the seventh grade. I have played club for four years as a setter and right-side hitter. I am currently a member of the Lake Murray Volleyball Club. My hard work has been reflected in my awards. I was awarded All Region Player my freshman, sophomore, and junior year of high school. I am a 2013 All Region player for the Palmetto Volleyball Regionals Tournament. Last Year I was selected MVP of the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Tournament. I also won the Outstanding Player award my sophomore and junior years of high school. I was recently awarded All Tournament Player for the Carolina Forest Tournament in Conway, South Carolina.
