Peyton Thompson '18 Recruiting Profile

I am 14 years old and my birthday is July 8, 2000. I am 6' 2", 155 pounds, left handed and play right side. I have always loved sports, but just started playing volleyball my 7th grade year at school and last year (2014) was my first year playing club ball at Upward Stars. I played varsity at my school, Spartanburg Christian Academy, this year and was a key teammate that helped lead my team to become the SCISA 2A state championship team. 
Sports have always been a big part of my life. I also play varsity basketball and soccer at my school. I have played a club sport (soccer till 2014) and school sports year round since I was 11 years old. Playing two sports at a time really helped me develop my time management skills and a hard work ethic. I will make a great asset to a college team one day. I will give my best effort on the court and in the classroom. I take honors classes and have a 5.0 weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale. If you talk with my coaches, they will tell you I am very coachable and will give full effort and often spend time outside of practice on the court to be a better athlete. 
My club team is the top 15 Premier team - Upward Stars 15 Brent in Spartanburg, SC. We finished 2nd out of 24 teams in the K2 Elite Invitational in Sevierville, TN and we finished 3rd out of 24 teams in the Winter Bump Elite in Spartanburg, SC.
