Independent + Dedicated + Passionate = Phebie Rossi. I left for summer camp on the East Coast in third grade, all alone, knowing no one. This is when I began to develop independence, which has spread throughout my life into skipping 5th grade, changing middle schools, and attending volleyball camps in Minnesota. In all cases, I was self-reliant.
In preschool, I declared I wanted to be a doctor, and since then, I’ve made academic choices in order to get there. I’ve taken advanced math classes, doubled up on sciences, and have not taken a study hall. My dedication has also transferred over to volleyball, where I’m the only girl on my team to have played club for four years (and counting), made the varsity team by 9th grade, varsity starter by 10th grade, and awarded a Black Hills Conference Honorable Mention.
