Personal Statement
My name is Zoe Parker and I am an outside hitter/opposite for the class of 2020. I have been in love with the sport of volleyball since as long as I can remember. I have been involved in volleyball starting in 3rd grade when I began playing Kids Inc., then in 5th grade I officially started playing club volleyball and truly fell in love with the sport. It has been my dream to play college volleyball for as long as I can remember. My parents both participated in collegiate sports and I have grown up hearing their stories about how amazing playing in college was for them. I would love to have the amazing experience of playing college volleyball and creating lifelong friendships with teammates. I would also benefit from developing a good work ethic to help me succeed in my future in medical school and eventually my career. Playing in college is a major goal in life for me and I will do anything I can to achieve that goal. I am always a leader on and off the court and I always push myself and my teammates to accomplish our goals and be the best team we can possibly be. Personally I work harder and harder everyday to become the best player and achieve the high goals I set for myself. I always give 110% no matter what I am doing, no matter how hard it is. That is why I believe I am a perfect candidate to play on your team.
I am also very hardworking when it comes to school. I have a 4.0 GPA and I am in the top 5% of my class. I was a superintendent scholar taking all pre-AP classes. I always find a way to balance school and volleyball, no matter how busy I am. School is my main priority so I will always keep up on schoolwork wherever I am, then I focus on being the best volleyball player I can be.
