Personal Statement
Ever since I was a little girl, athletic and academic achievement has been a priority to me. I started playing volleyball at age ten, and I have never deviated from the idea that I could do big things in the sport. Volleyball has shaped who I am including helping me realize the importance of a team, and how valuable the bond you have with your teammates is. Wherever I end up I will always take the lessons that I have learned on the court with me. Along with indoor, I find tons of joy in playing beach volleyball as well. I have not fully decided what I want to do with the rest of my life yet, but I do know that I want to go to a school that will push me to be the best I can be in athletics and academics. My ultimate, ideal goal is to graduate college with a degree in the field that I will work in for the rest of my life, while playing volleyball at the highest level possible. Although I am uncertain of what my future will look like at this time, I have interests in sports medicine, criminal justice, the law, and interior design. I also enjoy helping coach younger kids, and inspiring the same love of volleyball that I have in them. Whatever God’s plan is for me from here, I will let wisdom and conscience be my guide as I continue to improve at my sport and bring my energy, skills, and attitude to the court and classroom.
