RaNiya Brown '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ra’Niya Brown, I am a 6'0 middle blocker and outside hitter. I’m a proud student of the DeSoto High School in Texas class of 2022. I have played volleyball for 5 years now, and I love it more every year. My passion for volleyball started back in the 7th grade and since then has not stop. To improve my skills, I play club volleyball doing offseason to better every ball I touch. Volleyball has allowed me to grow as an individual and improve in various aspects of my life. Volleyball has helped me create lifelong memories and relationships with others. When I step into the gym, I am not only trying to make myself better but also my team. I am a well-rounded volleyball player, being able to play any position on the front row and back row if necessary. Through my FAITH in Christ has taught me I can accomplish anything through him who gives me strength.

I am searching for the best blend of high-level volleyball and academic excellence. I am an AP and Honors student who just completed my sophomore year with a 4.0. I’m currently enrolled in early college with Cedar Valley College who is a partner with DeSoto High School. I love to compete and also want to further my academic knowledge in a nursing program. I play, practice, and study at one speed - full speed.
