Personal Statement
I have not always concentrated my attention on volleyball because I was following in my dad’s footsteps and playing basketball. However, being a three-sport athlete, I soon became to realize that volleyball came way more natural to me. I started off playing JV and then was moved to Varsity during playoffs of my freshman year. Being a part of that experience and getting to see the girls get up, kill the ball, block and dig hard hits really opened my eyes and gave me a true hunger and desire to get better and become a beast on the court. I wanted to take my interest to the next level and soon became a part of an amazing volleyball club program during my Sophomore year. It is here where I have been blessed to be able to work with some amazing coaches and really improve my skills and develop more as an individual. I have learned the value of commitment, perseverance and selflessness. I am looking for a program that has a good competitive atmosphere and is a good fit for me academically. I believe that I have what it takes to be a true college athlete putting all my effort into what I do and working hard with dedication to make a great impact on any team.
