Julia Codispoti '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade. Every time I step on to a court, practice or game, I am reminded how great of a sport volleyball truly is. Ever since I started playing Club Volleyball in the 8th grade, it has always been a dream of mine to go and play at the collegiate level. I am already so grateful for how much I have been able to play the sport I love, but I would never be thankful enough to have the opportunity to play at the next level. 
On and off the court I am a team player. I always get the team motivated and push them to their best potential. Individually, I am quick to close a block and just as quick to dig a ball when needed to. As soon as I get on the court I have a goal to be better than the day before. I am a fast learner and take criticism very well. Most of all, I will work as hard as I can every second off the court to increase my jumping ability, quickness, foot work, and arm swing.
In school, I am just as hard working as I am on the court. I have an extremely high GPA and push myself to take the hardest classes because I think having a good education is extremely important. Aside from volleyball, I also am a 3 year varsity player for my high school basketball team. I give lessons to kids, have over 120 hours of community service, and am involved in a lot of extra curricular activities.
Having the chance to do what I love while also getting a good education to pursue my career in college would be a dream come true. I am open to almost all colleges, no matter how competitive. I play for God, since He is the one who gave me my talent, and my parents, since they are the ones who let me show it.
