There are few things more engaging and exciting than setting for my volleyball teams, both in school and club. Volleyball is something I always look forwards to; along with my schoolwork, volleyball ranks up there as one of the activities I believe to be most important. Over the years I’ve been playing volleyball, and there have been many, it’s had such a positive influence I truly can’t imagine myself without it. Volleyball is the reason I’m active and fit, it has kept me motivated and taught me the lesson of possessing ambition, it has introduced me to some of my best friends and coaches, and it has shown me how to confidently lead while still taking criticism in stride. My love of volleyball lead me to the decision to play in college, and that is exactly what I hope to do. My goals are to play for a competitive school that will help me improve my skills and myself beyond and above what I am now. I want to leave my comfort zone in Austin, TX, and see parts of the United States that I’ve never been to. I love cold climates and mountainous regions, and I have a passion for the outdoors. In the summer of 2013, I went rafting down the Grand Canyon for two weeks straight, sleeping under the stars and spending nearly three hundred hours straight out-of-doors. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had; my only regret was not being able to take a volleyball with me for lazy afternoons in the temporary camps we built every night. Thank you for viewing my profile here on NCSA, and thank you for taking time to read this little excerpt about my life.
