I am in my junior year at Vandegrift High School in Austin, Texas. I have been a starter on Vandegrift's varsity team for each of my first three years, and was named 1st team All District as junior and 2nd team All District as a sophomore. I have also played club volleyball for Texas Eclipse for five years. I am an outside hitter with good hands, am a very strong passer, and play all the way around. My club team has had a very successful season in 2013 qualifying for the Tour of Texas, winning the Lone Star Classic National Qualifier (USA division) and winning the Lone Star Regional tournament. We played well in the National Division at Junior Nationals in Dallas finishing 11th. We also had a very successful 2012 season winning two national qualifiers (LoneStar Classic 2012 and Colorado Crossroads 2012).
Academics are extremely important to me. I am an honor roll student earning an Academic All District award in each of my first three years at Vandegrift and am a member of the National Honor Society. I am currently undecided about a major, but am interested occupational and physical therapy or possibly business. I would love the opportunity to play volleyball at a highly competitive level while getting an excellent education.
My faith is also important to me. I am active with my church's youth programs and have a heart for service following a mission trip to Guatemala.
