Personal Statement
The difference between a goal and a dream is simple. A dream is something you hope for and a goal is something you work for. Volleyball is something I work for. I play the sport because it makes me feel strong. My goal and dream is to play volleyball collegiately.
I love to compete and win, especially in the game I love the most, volleyball. I believe that working hard off the court is just as important as on the court. For this reason, I focus on keeping in top physical condition so I am prepared to compete at my very best. I will make a great addition to any collegiate team, not only because of my ability to play the game, but the leadership I can offer on and off the court. Simply put, leadership is not spoken, but displayed in the actions we exhibit.
My academics are of the highest priority. This is displayed by my current grades and I look forward to continuing and excelling in my education to obtain a degree in special education and business.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my good friends and volunteering in my church. I have participated in many missionary trips across the country.
If you set the bar, I can guarantee I will work hard to set it higher. That’s what I’ve learned; you earn every dig, kill, and ace you get with just that, hard work. Nothing is impossible if you have the right work ethic and determination. If you put in the work, you get results, and I work for results.
I look forward to continued conversations with prospective universities and chasing my dream to play college volleyball.
