Personal Statement
I plan on majoring in Kinesiology, minoring in Business, and getting my Masters of Education in Coaching, Sport, and Recreation Administration. To help prepare me for my degree, I am going to take an online course to obtain my certification to become a personal trainer.I'm not afraid to set the bar high for myself - on and off the court.I set goals for myself before each competition and try to rise to the challenge. A few goals I was proud of accomplishing this past season were getting 29 kills in a match and being selected to the TGCA 1A All-State Volleyball Team and to the TSWA 1A All-State Volleyball Team (2nd team middle blocker). I am a humble player and value each member on my team because each position is important. I try to lead by example. I understand that the choices a person makes defines them; that's why I always try to think before I speak or act. I have self-control and discipline. I understand that being an athlete and representing a school well is very important. I feel like I do that at my high school. I' m currently class president and I take AP and college classes; I'm a member of National Honor Society, FFA, 4H, and FCA. I also play multiple sports and I rodeo.Even though my schedule is very busy, I've learned to balance it so I can keep up with my grades. I'm currently ranked #1 in my class. This year, one of my favorite classes was my mentor class. I assisted the coach in a 3rd grade PE class. It was fun working with them and watching their skills improve throughout the year. I'm not afraid of hard-work. I go to volleyball camps and clinics to better my skills and eagerly receive advice. I understand what it means to respect those in authority over me whether it be my parents, coaches, administrators, or teachers.I value God, my family, friends, and hard-work. I always try my best to rise to the occasion and will not be out-worked.Volleyball is a passion of mine. The game excites me and the rush of getting a good kill/block is amazing! I not only want to play volleyball in college, I want to break records!
