2014 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am currently a junior at Bishop Lynch High School. I have played volleyball for 9 years and wish to continue playing for many more. 5 of those years, I have played club as well. I am currently a right side, for the first time, but have played middle every year before that. I play on Blocksport 18 Nike as a right side. I played on Bishop Lynch's Varsity as a middle. I hope to graduate high school with 30-36 credits and maintain my 4.0 (and top 10% of my class). I also hope to get an academic scholarship as well as a volleyball scholarship. I plan on continuing to study Spanish and obtain a college minor in Spanish.

- AwardsI have been invited, and am a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Spanish Honors Society-vice president, National History Honors Society, and National Honors Society. I was also invited to be a part of the National English Honors Society I have placed in several Mu Alpha Theta math competitions. I have been in the top 10% of my class since freshman year. I have been given Outstanding Academic Honors, for all A's or B's since freshman year. I got honorable mention in the National Spanish Exam three years in a row. I was also invited to be a member of The National Society of High School Scholars. I have also been invited to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. I was ranked 13th in the Log 1 Math contest which included 4 other states in the US and Asia. Also I received Academic all-district for having all A's during the school volleyball season.
- ActivitiesI am a part of Habitat for Humanity which helps build houses for underprivileged families. I am also a part of Amigos de la Finca. I am a Girl Scout and have completed and received my Bronze and Silver Awards and am going to start working towards my gold award this year/summer. I participated in the TAPPS Art Competition, placing 6th in print making. I also volunteer for St. Vincent De Paul at my old middle school. I am the Vice-President for the Hispanic Honor Society. I also volunteer at Rays of Light and work with children with special needs.
