Personal Statement
Life is what you make of it. You only achieve the dreams that you chase after. If you don’t dream big, you’ll never achieve anything big. I have lived my life having faith in that. Volleyball is everything to me. It’s the one thing, besides me family, that I can always depend on. In moments of anguish and defeat, I know I can still come back the next day and do something greater. I live for the risks you must take and the feeling you get after you win. Knowing that volleyball can take me further into an education I dream for makes it worth my while. I grew up wanting to find a way to help others. As I got older, I started loving children more and more. My wants and loves found a way together to a common goal, to be a Pediatrician. Since I was 14, this is all I’ve wanted to do. When volleyball found a way into my life, I knew I could take it to another level to become a pediatrician. I hope to achieve my dreams. Little by little, I’m finding my way there. I believe I can do it. With the never ending support and love from my family, I know I can. My loving mom and dad have been such a blessing. Their tough criticism has pushed me to be the best possible person that I can be. I am so blessed with the ability to play volleyball at a high level. I have also been blessed to have amazing coaches, teammates, friends, teachers, and family. I am ready to take the next step towards my dreams.
