Hello, my name is Amanda Gonzalez and I am currently a sophomore at St. Augustine High School. I have been playing volleyball since the fourth grade and grow fonder by the sport day by day. I am a second year varsity player, and this year I got the opportunity to take the position of being a captain along with two other seniors. Being a leader on and off the court is an immense responsibility that I take seriously. Keeping my team motivated, focused, and in good shape is my role as a captain. Volleyball has become an enormous part of my life and I aspire to take it to the next level.
My top priority is academics. I am a very committed, hard working, and focused student. I am always on top of my school work and like to get it done a soon as possible. I am a student-athlete, therefore school always comes first. I enjoy participating in school extracurricular activities and clubs. On my free time I go to the local recreational center to get reps and to help middle school volleyball players. I have played club volleyball for one year with San Antonio Magic and will continue to do so for my next three years.
Volleyball is my stress reliever, favorite sport, and most importantly, volleyball is my everything. I want to take my talent to the next level and will continue to work hard to make this happen. One important aspect about me is that once I set my mind to a goal, I will stop at nothing to achieve it! Thank you for your time.
