Hannah Bishop '16 Recruiting Profile

Hi!  My name is Hannah Bishop.  I am a senior Captain middle blocker/outside hitter at 30-6A McAllen High School - Class of 2016.  At the time of this update, we are currently 17-1 and ranked #7 in the state of Texas (6A High Schools).  Thanks to the hard work and determination of my teammates, we were able to make a run all the way to the State Regional Semi-Final Round of the state play-offs my junior season.  Our final record was 39-6, including an undefeated Championship run through the San Antonio ISD Tournament early in the season.  I am honored to have been selected to the First Team All District team for my Freshman, Sophomore and Junior seasons.  Although individual awards are nice, I could not have done it without my teammates.  

I am so blessed to be surrounded by an amazing group of  family that loves and supports me.  My parents encourage me to dream big, and then chase those dreams.  Aside from earning a college degree, playing college volleyball is at the top of the list of my dreams.  I believe that whatever I set my mind to, I can achieve.  I am a fierce competitor.  My dad calls me a "game changer" and I think that is because I never give up, regardless of the score.  I am a very vocal player on the court AND on the sidelines; encouraging my teammates and bringing positive energy to the court.
