My name is Jasmine Long and I am a lefty. I am a senior 5'4" outside hitter/ defensive specialist from McAllen, TX. As a freshman I played at the JV level with McAllen Memorial High School (6A). My sophomore year I started with Junior Varsity and ended with varsity at the playoffs. My junior year I continued to play on the varisty level and shared the role of being a co-captain. This year I am playing club volleyball with RGV Juniors 18's National Team. I've had an immense love for this sport since I was in the 5th grade. I do whatever it takes to win each and every game. The more competitive the game is, the more passion and commitment I put on the court to win every point. My dad always told me to go after what I want, which is an opportunity to play college volleyball. I am a harsh competitor and I never give up, no matter what the score is. I have a very powerful voice on the court, because I love to give off positive energy to my teammates, plus intimidate the other teams. I am focused on and off the court, especially when it comes to academics. Division 2 is a goal that I hope to reach, but I am open to any other level. I will work for as long and as hard as I can to reach my goal.
