Mandy Carmon '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mandy Carmon and thank you for looking at my profile. I created this because I'm ready to take a big step into my volleyball career and play in college. Playing the sport I love so much at a higher level has been my dream since I first walked on to the court. 

I play club volleyball for Summit Nitro in Dallas, Texas. This is my 6th year of playing club volleyball, and have loved every minute of it. I'm a Setter and a DS. I love both positions equally, and give the best of my ability every time I touch the ball. I like to see myself as a utility player. I'll play whatever position the coach needs me to play to help us win. I work hard and love conditioning to help myself get better. I am very coachable and hard working with a positive attitude at all times. Serving is my all time  favorite thing in volleyball. Every time I'm behind the end line I see it as my opportunity to earn points and put the ball in the right place that makes it impossible for the opponent to receive. In year 2012-2013, my Sophomore year, I was awarded All District Best Server. 

I attend Rowlett High School, a 5A school in Rowlett, Texas. As a Freshman, I was on JV and then played my last 2 district games on Varsity and went to playoffs. Sophomore year, I started on Varsity and am currently still starting on Varsity as a Junior. In high school, I'm a right back DS and set when needed. This year, 2013 I received an All - District award..

I work really hard in school and have a 3.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale taking AP and Honors courses. I want to get a business degree and I have a strong interest in real estate. I am extremely dedicated to both school and volleyball, and will challenge myself everyday to give everything the best of my ability.
