Personal Statement

My name is Shelby Walker. I'm a 5'10 middle blocker and right side hitter. I have 5 years of club experience, and have been part of the varsity team at Claudia Taylor (Lady Bird) Johnson High School since my freshman year. I also play for the San Antonio Magic 171's. Between school, volleyball, performance training, and community service work, I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am following the distinguished Jaguar plan for graduation. My goal after high school is to attend a university with a curriculum in the area of psychology. Ultimately I would like to earn my doctorate in psychiatry. While attending college, I would count it a privilege to be part of a volleyball team that is competitive and wants to win!
