Sydney Ameluxen '16 Recruiting Profile

My goals while in college are to play volleyball, make lifelong friends, and do whatever I love. I believe I would make a good candidate to your volleyball team because I have played volleyball for ten years, played club for five years, and have taken private lessons for two years. Throughout this season, I have beaten the record for most digs in a single season with 549; the previous record was 466. I am a very hard worker and always like to give to whichever team I am playing with. My two goals when playing volleyball are 1) to have fun and 2) win. I'm a very competitive athlete and it even carries over to board game nights. I absolutely hate losing and the feeling that comes along with it., but I am willing to learn from a loss to better myself at what do change and do differently. I believe I am a very coachable athlete who will do whatever the coach corrects me on because I want to be the best I can be and I know that coaches are there to help that happen. Throughout high school, I have been very involved and have still managed to stay in the top 8 percent of my class. I am always willing to give my most in order to succeed.
