I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old. When I walked in the gym for the first time to learn about the game, there was a spark that lit my world up. Throughout my years of playing in high school, we only won about 10% of our games. I was frustrated that no one cared. I pressed forward even though it was hard most days walking into a gym of people who didn’t care about the sport as much as I did.
Going through high school ball, I began to learn it wasn’t just about winning or if my team mates cared or not. It was about getting stronger mentally and physically. I grew as an individual and a player. I was nominated the captain for my Junior and Senior years of high school. In club, I was captain since my 8th grade year. I know what it’s like to take the role of a leader, and I enjoy being one!
I am loud on the court; I like to have fun and be engaged. However, I also go into practice and games with a serious, focused attitude. I am humble and respectful. After games and practices, I take the time to ask my coaches what I can do to better my skills. I am always open to listening and learning something new! After playing college ball for almost a year now, it’s nice to know that there are people who take it as seriously as I do! I would love to play on and make a difference for your team!
