Personal Statement
I really want to play volleyball in college! It has been my dream since I started playing at the age of 9. I have played club volleyball since I started and can never seem to get enough volleyball. My parents even put in a professional sand volleyball court at our lake house just so I could play while we are there during the summer. I currently attend Middleburg Academy, a college preparatory high school in Middleburg, VA. I was the setter for my freshman and sophomore years helping my team make it to the state playoffs both years. As a junior I played the libero position and helped my team win the VISAA Div II State Finals! I am at practice early and I am usually the last one to leave. My hard work attitude of “Never give up” have helped me throughout my career. Last year on my travel club I shared the libero position with another player and final won it out right. I have played almost every position on the court, usually because my coach needs to fill a position that she/he thought someone else would fill but wasn't able to. I just want to be on the court playing, and therefore, I am willing to learn and play any position, but I prefer Libero. I work very hard at school to keep my grades as high as possible. I have a slight reading disability, but it doesn't stop me from getting good grades. During club season I usually am doing homework in the car and at tournaments, making sure I get everything done. I know I can play in college and will make a great asset to your team.
