Personal Statement
I am a high energy, passionate, go-getter on and off the court! Academically, I plan to pursue Special Education. I aspire to teach special needs students at the high school level. Children with special needs inspire me because of the love they give to others. Daily, these children overcome obstacles that are so difficult, but they smile and stay excited about life. Each day, I work with the Special Education department at my high school, and I am amazed at the excitement these children show towards life, towards their friends and towards me. I strive to show the same love and enthusiasm to all things in my life.
Volleyball is a passion for me. I love being part of a team. I feel volleyball is the most team oriented sport there is because no one can be a star without good teammates. It is a true "win together, lose together" sport. I strive daily to be a great teammate. I bring excitement and energy to the court when I play. Whether it's cheering my teammates on or getting excited after a kill, I keep the enthusiasm level up for my team. I also strive to do all the "little things" well. If my team needs a kill, a dig, a pep talk, I want to be the player taking responsibility for our success or failure. I am a leader verbally and athletically. I want to be the "go to" player for my team.
I want to play volleyball at the collegiate level because I have a desire to play at the highest level possible. I enjoy being challenged, and playing at the next level is that number one challenge and goal I have set for myself. I feel I can contribute to any program because I am athletic, quick and "volleyball smart". My desire to succeed on and off the court makes me an asset to any program.
Thank you for taking time to review my profile. I look forward to personally telling you more about myself.
