Dear Coaches,
I started playing volleyball when I was 7 years old as I wanted to keep up with my older sister. I began with taking clinics and camps and graduated to playing club volleyball at 11. I quickly fell in love with the sport and began thinking that playing in college would be a dream come true. I believe I am a very hard worker in all aspects of my life. I realize I must work hard in academics as well as sports and extra curricular activities to become a successful and well rounded woman. I believe my work ethic on the court demonstrates how I act in all aspects of my life with hopes of achieving my goals in my post collegiate career. I am involved in many activities outside of volleyball with a special interest in working with special education children. I was the Manager for the high school freshman team for two years while I was still in middle school. The coach of the freshman team was a PE teacher at the middle school and encouraged me to be her manager. She is also the mother to a very special child who has become an extremely important friend in my life. Her son has special needs and we have developed an extremely close friendship which is why I chose as my elective in middle school to be an aide in the adaptive PE class as I believe working with special education children is extremely rewarding. This role taught me many life lessons in dealing with many different people. I plan to continue to work hard both on and off the court to achieve both my athletic goals as well as my goals off the court.
