Bailey Doherty '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Bailey Doherty and I am a class of 2025 Junior setter. I have been playing volleyball for eight years in a variety of positions including setter, DS, outside, and rightside/opposite.  Most recently, I have begun playing on the Varsity team at Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville, VA and for the 22-23 club season I played on GoVolley’s 16-2 team. I have wanted to play volleyball in college since I started in 4th grade and would be honored to be given the chance of doing so at any level.  

I am a player who always tries to put their best out on the court no matter the circumstances or obstacles that stand in my way. I am determined,  supportive, coachable, and hardworking. I meld well with my teams and am always sure to show respect towards anyone I interact with - coaches, teammates, referees, players of opposing teams, or just people in general.  Outside of the court and volleyball, I manage to balance my schedule in a way that makes life easier to manage. I keep my grades up (GPA 4.26), work hard at volleyball, spend time with both friends and family, and also make time for self-care or "me" time.  My life has taught me some very valuable life lessons and I make sure I carry them with me at all times - both on and off the court.
