Personal Statement

I have played many sports throughout the years, including basketball, rugby, track, and soccer. I started playing volleyball at the YMCA in 6th grade, and it was like no other sport I had played before. I love having the opportunity to play for my school, and I was so proud of my high school team when we won state for the first time in our program’s history. I learned a lot getting to be a captain for two years for such a wonderful and talented group of girls.

Now, I am a sophomore in college, and like most athletes my age, I only have one season under my belt due to COVID. I am very self motivated and have been diligently  doing the workouts from my trainer and everything I can to stay in shape so I'm ready to compete when I get back on the court. I learned so much my first year being in a different state playing at the collegiate level, and I'm itching to get back to bringing my all to the court.

I always have a positive attitude on the court, I am very competitive, and I understand the importance of teamwork. My coaches describe me as “coachable,” and I strive to be a better person and player both on and off the court.

Off the court, academics have always been important to me. I am an Environmental Science and Spanish major, and I love learning about my outdoor surroundings. I also chose Spanish as a major because I love a challenge! It has been so awesome to learn about other cultures in this way.

I'm excited about the future and to see what unfolds!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
