Personal Statement
I am primarily a setter, looking to continue playing volleyball in college. I was in the starting line-up as a freshman for my high school (Division 1) varsity volleyball team; finishing with a 40-3-1 record, winning 5 season tournaments and conference championship. In my sophomore season,I was again in the starting line-up as a setter, and playing all-around - using both my offensive and defensive skills. Our team captured a regional championship and the sectional semi-final championship. I was also one of the team captains and was awarded team MVP last year. Now in my junior year, I am again team captain, playing all-around again as well. Our team captured conference championships, regional championships, and sectional runner-up. We also won 3 season tournaments. I was named to the First Team All-Conference team. I am recognized as an outstanding defensive setter, with an extremely high volleyball IQ. I will be starting my 7th year of club volleyball this year, always playing at the highest level for my age group. I expect to remain on the varsity team my senior year of high school, and am looking forward to it. I want to continue my volleyball career post-graduation. I am very competitive on the court as well as in the classroom. The medical and athletic training fields interest me at present. Follow my progress at maxpreps!
