Personal Statement
I want to go to college because I want to be educated, have a good job after college, and learn new things that I didn't know about myself and the world. I feel like playing a sport in college will increase my college experience by a lot. I love the game of volleyball. It is one of my many passions in life. Being a student athlete has made me a better and more confident person. The thing that separates me from others is that I put 110% of effort into practices and games. There won't be a ball that I won't dive for. I hustle for every ball, and I am a hard worker. I bring a positive attitude to every practice and match. I am quick on the floor, and can read where the hitter is going. I just finished my sophomore year of volleyball, and I was the starting defensive specialist for my varsity team. I have played club volleyball since I was 11 years old. I played on G-force for 4 years then switched to Wisconsin Premier when I was 15. For my U15 year of club, my coach asked me to play all around so I would hit and not play libero, but still continue to play the back row. My coach said I was a leader on the court, and my teammates looked up to me when something was going wrong or bad and I encouraged them. I am that leader both on and off the court. I would love to continue my volleyball career!
