Personal Statement
My Athletic history includes positions such as International Water Polo Player for Diablo Water Polo, Olympic Development Pacific Team 2015, Olympic Development Cadet Team Water Polo player 2014, Team Captain for Varsity Swimming and Water Polo for Acalanes High School in Northern California and Cyclist for California Giant Berry Farm Cycling Team. I have a passion for these sports, enjoy being a team player, and developing new relationships with coaches and players.
I compete against the best in the Nation and was taught skills and techniques by former World champions, Olympians and College level coaches, which allows me to match the qualifications you are seeking in Division 1 Water polo. In other words... I love the pressure as well as the challenge.
As for my work as a young female athlete I work every day to challenge myself and empower young women to stick with their sport. I have written for blogs and websites to get the word out there for young women athletes. Being active in sports has made me stronger, get better grades in school, have a healthier mind and body, as well as be a better friend and family member. It has also lead me to travel and be a leader in my community.
Academics do not come easy for me and I work very hard. I have many learning disabilities but challenge myself daily and put my 110% into my work. I am proud of my accomplishments in the pool and out and look forward to what will be in my future.
I believe with all the above being said I will bring to any College a strong willed, passionate, and hard working female athlete with aspirations to only learn from the best and be the best!
