Gillian McKim '18 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Gillian McKim, and I am a very determined women's water polo athlete. Currently I am a sophomore at Aloha High School and play varsity for my water polo team. I constantly strive to improve myself, as well as giving support to my teammates. In the fall, I'm very actively involved in Varsity High School Water Polo for Aloha High School, in the winter, I'm on the Swim Team for Aloha High School, and in the spring and summer I do club water polo for either Chehalem Water Polo, or West Metro Water Polo Club. Water Polo has helped me to branch out and learn how to balance school, sports, home and multiple other activies with structure. I do not let a day go by at practice, school, or at home where I do not try my hardest to improve and exhibit good leadership/sprotsmanship skills. Along with this, I am very glad to recieve feedback from my coaches and teammates for me to do/ try so that I can improve in all aspects of water polo and life and help my teammates in what they need. Water Polo is a big aspect of my life, along with my academics, family life, dogs shows and wind ensemble. In all, my goal is to become a very well rounded athlete and individual in water polo and life, while also keeping high academic progress and pushing myself each day to improve on at least one thing.
