From the start, I was meant to be in the water. I perform well under pressure, I am a great friend, hard worker, and a team captain. My coaches trust me enough to lead my team. I have kept a steady GPA throughout high school. Water Polo is my passion and my life. I have the drive and determination to succeed, and I can’t imagine my life without water polo. I started playing water polo my sophomore year in high school. Ever since I started water polo, it not only changed me as an athlete but as a person as well. Before I played water polo, I was a competitive swimmer for 9 years. My first year of water polo we were undefeated in our conference and placed first in the state. The summer between my sophomore and junior year I worked hard so I could earn a starting spot on my team. And I did just that. Junior year we were undefeated in our conference but placed second in the state overall. This year I made captain of my team, we are undefeated in our conference and placed third in the state.
I really want to compete in water polo at the collegiate level. I believe there is a lot of value and many great life lessons that help us learn and grow in athletics. I hope to have the opportunity to continue to compete because I love Water Polo. I would also like the opportunity to continue to learn and grow through collegiate athletics.
