I was born a water baby. Living 20 feet away from the water caused my parents to put me in swim lessons before I could even walk. I have always felt more comfortable in the water than I have doing any land sport. I did competitive swim team my entire childhood, then I realized that swimming was boring. I wanted live action and to be able to use force, strength, and agility to compete against others. That was when I decided to start playing water polo. As a seventh grader, playing against other highschoolers was really scary at first, but I soon got over it seeing as I was a starter for my Highschool Varsity team my eighth grade year. I went on to be the team captain for my team in ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade as well. At every state or regional competition my coaches always listed my as their vote for All-state team. I have made it on to the All-State team every year since freshman year. I also went on to other things like JO's as a freshman, and ODP National Championships in Ohio my Junior year. Water Polo has not only taught me how push my body to limits I never thought possible, but it has helped me become a leader for my team and a representation of hard work and dedication to a sport. I would love to continue water polo in college if I am given the opportunity.
