My name is Delaney Candland, and I have been swimming since I was 5 years old. I began on the Willow Creek County Club swim team and was instantly in love. I swam every summer, and began competing in school for Cottonwood High School on the Varsity Swim team when I was in Junior High. I didn't think I could love any sport more than swimming, until I was introduced to water polo my Freshman year.
For me, water polo is where my true passions lie. I love the team element and being in the pool with my mates, going for the win, playing and strategizing together. Our water polo team is incredibly close, we aren't just team mates, we are family. We have each others backs in and out of the pool. We take pride in our team and bring our A game to every match.
I study hard, and get good grades. I would love for my collegiate experience to be one where water polo plays a part. I would be a valuable asset to any college water polo team environment. I am excited for the future, and hope for water polo and swimming to always be a part of my life.
