Personal Statement

I would make a good candidate for any team because I try my hardest in the practice room, in competition, and off the mat to excel and be the best I can. I also try to help and encourage others who have similar "be the best I can" aspirations as me. For example on the mat I try to be the best practice partner in the room, not only making myself better, but my teammates better as well. In competition I always cheer my team on and help to encourage them to wrestle at their full potential. Because of wrestling many other areas of my life have been bettered off the mat. Not only does it get me in shape for hunting and fishing, but also teaches me how to respect my elders and stay focused in school so that I can keep straight A's. Also since 6th grade I've refereed during freestyle/greco season to help give back to the sport a little, but to also learn more about my favorite sport. Working 12 hour days while wrestling during freestyle season also shows me how hard I can push myself, which greatly improves my wrestling during the high school season.

Season begins in spring 2016. But AWWC has been state champs for the last two years. I placed first in freestyle and folkstyle last May as a first year junior age group
