While accomplishing the necessary requisites for my degree, my sights will be set on the strong foundation an education will provide me for the future. I aspire to be a college athlete, pushing myself intellectually and physically.
I am a good candidate for a college team because I'm a four year varsity wrestler who thrives on competition. I push myself to be the best and encourage my teammates to do the same.
One of my strongest traits is my moral character. I have a strong sense of justice and defend people who are disadvantaged or on the fringes of whatever smaller society I'm a part of. I strive to live above reproach. Naturally I fail, but it is my goal to constantly refine myself.
My drive and desire to compete sets me apart from other athletes. I will not quit until my body gives out.
Although my academics are not my strength, I have come a long way since my freshman and sophomore year where home struggles tempted me to lose focus. Since then, I've tried to recenter my attention and turn my academics around. Although my GPA is not stellar, I have an innate curiosity for all subjects and I love lively discussions and debates. I know I can succeed in the classroom as well as on the mat.
