Dane Drimmer '15 Recruiting Profile

"Wrestling is just not a sport to me, it's my lifestyle!" 

My name is Dane Drimmer,

I have been wrestling for 8 years now and am in my senior year of high school. Wrestling, has made me who I am today, which is a determined, disciplined, dedicated and positive athlete and student. Many people don't know but I have a very rare vision disorder called Achromatopsia,  in which I am blinded by light, color blind, near and far sighted, and yet, my vision has never held me back from accomplishing my aspirations in life and that is, to be the very best I can be. I work hard every day, training and lifting throughout the year, even during the summer. Throughout my high school career I have achieved many successes, I placed 3rd in Fargo, in Greco Roman as an incoming freshman. In my sophomore year, I placed 3rd in State and this year as a junior, I took 2nd in State. This year is my year to complete one of my main goals and that is, to graduate with the state championship title in the heavyweight division. 

After high school, my goals are to wrestle in college and bring home an NCAA national title, while studying and attaining a degree in Sports Medicine. I couldn't have completed my dreams and goals without the support of my family, coaches and friends.
