Personal Statement
Playing at the college level has always been a dream of mine. Ever since I was little I have watched college football and always dreamed that I could be like them someday as well. I believe that I am a hard worker both on and off the field. I bring a leadership quality to the field that makes others want to play even better than they already are. Last winter I suffered a severe staph infection in my bursa sack of the right knee. This required surgery and left me with an 8 inch scar. This did not deter me from my goal of a State wrestling championship, just 4 weeks after surgery. No one thought I could come back but I worked harder than I have in my life and I finished with an individual state title and helped my team to a 7th straight State title. I am 6-1" tall and 190 pounds. My 40 yard time is a 4.7 with room to improve. I started on the varsity football team as a one of only three sophomores and hope to make all league this year as a junior. I am looking for a school that will meet my academic goals and one that has a team with a drive to win and be the best it can. The size of the school isn't a very big issue for me. I would be interested in applying for FAFSA or any other type of loans or grants. My desired major right now is either business law or political science because I would like to be a lawyer or a sports agent when I grow up. Some of my athletic goals are to go to the next level to play football and gain as many football achievements as I can in high school.
