Jonah Shreve '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Jonah Shreve and I am a Colorado wrestler and a senior in high school. I wrestle at the 170 and the 182 weight classes and average a weight of 175 pounds. I have wrestled for 6 years and have wrestled freestyle and greco-roman for 1 year. I qualified for the Colorado National Cadet Team in 2013. I have never placed in state but I am looking forward to doing it this year. This is my last year in High School and I am looking forward to reaching my goal of at least 6th place in state. I am a very intelligent young man but haven't had the best life. I have been dealt a few bad hands but am making the best of my situation. I have learned a lot more in life and understand hard work. I do not take things for granted because I have been without and understand what it is like to have to start from the bottom and be a man about life and persevere. I want this chance to be a man in life and feel like I am much more mature than my fellow peers. I have never had a spot on a team handed to me. I have had to work for everything in my life and I feel like it has taught me a lot. I am looking forward to a college wrestling career. If there is anything in my life that will explain my life and my work ethics it is these simple words from Vince Lombardi, "Winning isn't everything it's the ONLY thing."
