My name is Eric Torres-Cortes and I am a senior at Sand Creek High School in Colorado Springs, CO. I wrestled through middle school, took a break my freshman year and continued my journey sophomore year to now. Wrestling has changed my life for the better. It has helped me become a straight A student, as well as a better person in general. I am a hard working, dedicated wrestler, and I am determined to be the best wrestler I can possibly be. My goals in the future is to wrestle in college and get a kinesiology and exercise science degree. My preferred career would be to become a weights and conditioning coach for a sports team.
I am a brawler who enjoys giving my opponent an action packed, fast paced match with constant pressure. I am lean and strong and I am most successful in neutral. I thrive in control ties, but I also have offense from distance. I would be a good candidate for your wrestling team because I will give 110% effort and I will train like I will compete. I am also a team player who works well with my teammates. I am different from other candidates because I will not quit, no matter how difficult it gets, I have always been athletically inclined, I will pick up on technique quickly and apply it later on at practice in order to retain the information.
