I would be grateful for a chance to continue wrestling at the college level and humble enough to be coached. I have learned much about life from wrestling, but there is always more to learn from and about this sport. I know this is unique opportunity for student-athletes, with less than 3% of wrestlers continuing on to compete in college. I may not always be the most talented wrestler but I work hard to be a good teammate and I never, ever quit. I had an injury at the very first tournament of last year. A bucket handle meniscus tear cost me a full season of the sport I love. I made the most of it, however, and still attended every practice and competition. I even helped coach JV. Because of this I won the Team Dedication Award and was named a Captain as a Junior. I plan on making the most of this year and the years I left.
