Personal Statement
struggled with being overweight through middle school and had to also deal with the pressures of bullying. I decided that enough was enough. I was determined to lead a healthy lifestyle for myself. Wrestling became my outlet for fitness and health and it has been my passion ever since; because of my struggles my first two high school years I knew If I wanted on the team I would have to make changes. I practice daily with Monarch after school, I attended meets and watched the guys compete. I also joined cowboys wrestling club and practiced weekly with them. I studied hard and got my grades up. I was feeling better and working hard. If I was not wrestling I was supporting my teammates. My commitment to myself, wrestling, and my health and fitness got me the Iron Colt Award for being 9-0 at the Coral Springs Duals. I also placed 5th at the BCAA Championship. Senior year I was going to wrestle with the Knights and continue my wrestling journey and here I am.
