My name is Don Boone. I am seventeen years old and love the sport of wrestling. Most people will never understand the dedication and determination it takes to wrestle at a high level. That is why I would like to join your program. I put extra hours of work on the mat and dedicate my life to be a top athlete. Throughout my life I have been around wrestling. I started to wrestle at a very young age. My dad, being a two time state champion, mentored me to advance my wrestling skills quickly. During my wrestling days as a kid, I have qualified for state six times and placed five of those times. Once I got into high school, I realized my potential. I made it to state as a freshman but I didn’t place. That was an amazing learning experience for me. It showed me what it takes to become a state champion at the High School level. My sophomore year I went 42-14. I took second place at the state tournament. While I succeeded, I’m not satisfied. Eric Thomas, former professional American football player and motivational speaker, says “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful.” All of these things have made me the wrestler I am today. I'm not afraid of a challenge. I will give it my all everyday and won't disappoint you.
Thanks,
Don Boone
