Personal Statement
My long term, ultimate goal in collegiate wrestling is to become an All American and become the best wrestler possible. To reach these goals I make improvement my priority every day in not just athletics, but academics as well. The only way to reach my goals is with hard work. I pride myself on hard work and doing extra as I realize that is what will set me apart from other athletes and students. I am driven by my goals which make me the most hard working and determined wrestler I could possibly be. I have shown enormous improvement from my freshman to my sophomore year, and from sophomore to junior year as well. I plan to continue this improvement with my continuation of hard work and strive to better myself every day. The accolades of my past seasons show my large improvement as I achieved the Massachusetts state vocational championship, Massachusetts D3N 3rd place award and became the CAC league all star for the 120 lb weight class and a 30-9 record where as my previous season before (freshman year) I had a 22-18 record and won the MVP award for my team. This past season which was my junior year proved to be a big turning point for me where I was able to break into the top ten all-state rankings in Massachusetts, win the Cape Cod invitational tournament, win the D3 Massachusetts sectional tournament becoming the first sectional champion in my school for wrestling, become a state placer (5th) and all- state qualifier. I have finished off my junior season with a record of 40-10. I also have captured the title of DCL league all-star. I have remained undefeated in meets for the past two seasons, became a league all-star for my weight class sophomore and junior year and have become a team captain junior year. I do everything in my power to better myself as a wrestler from waking up at 5:30 every morning to run 5 miles, to keeping a strict diet year round. I also pride myself on working hard enough to achieve honors roll sophomore all 4 quarters of sophomore year and am currently continuing this streak this year as well. I feel like I am always improving quickly and still have a lot of room to continue improving throughout my college wrestling career. I am looking for a school with a division 1 2 or 3 wrestling team and offers majors in game design.
