Personal Statement
Hello Coaches,
My name is Sam Anderson (a Junior at Sanford High School).Ever since i was a little boy i have always wanted to be a teacher.Teaching to me is the most important job/responsibility that a person could be tasked with in life.Having the community entrust me with the task of molding and developing their child's young minds and hearts would be an unbelievable honor, and my lives passion!Along with teaching, coaching ( something i already do at the Youth and Jr High level)is another passion i would look to pursue after college.I have competed in several sports growing up, but all pale in comparison with wrestling!Wrestling pushes you to the brink physically and mentally, and forces you to face not only your opponent in front of you, but also your own doubts and fears.I feel that my best attribute is my willingness to listen and learn from my mistakes.I started wrestling a lot later in life then most of the top wrestlers(4th grade),and would totally immerse myself into any program willing to get me up to speed. I feel that if given the right tools( through coaching) i can become not only a very successful college wrestler, but a leader!... I realize that i am a work in progress, and plan on continuing to wrestle with various clubs and attend various events during the off-season.All the while i plan on being the best student i can be ( should earn my 3rd All Academic Award from my Conference this season)...Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to read this Sincerely, Sam Anderson
