Wrestling has always been a productive outlet for me, and I could not imagine my college experience without it. It has been a productive way for me to balance out a rigorous course load with something that will push me physically. I shoot to surround myself with equally motivated intellectuals, and I hope to find a competitive college experience that will continue to push me. I intend to study political science and international relations in college. I am always in the school library tutoring my teammates and helping them prepare for assessments. The idea of wrestling in college is so appealing to me because I can continue to develop relationships on and off the mat like I am now.
Being out sophomore year with an injury, I was unsure of myself heading into junior year. The fact that I made it so far into the postseason both surprised me and reassured me that I wanted to pursue wrestling beyond high school. Stepping on the mat in middle school, I would have never imagined that I would find such a home in this sport. I have completely turned my career around in months and hope to bring that energy to the college level.
