Personal Statement
As a student athlete my collegiate goals in sports and education are very straight forward: to do and be the best I possibly can be. In my involvement with sports I want to experience good competition, train hard, and win. Being part of a team allows me the privilege to be part of a bond, that is forged with my teammates and friends, and will follow me throughout life.
In regards to my education, I wish to achieve a degree in the Sciences. I do not wish to just graduate, get a job, and trudge through life. I aspire to graduate with honors, finish my education out strong, and take charge of my future. The same integrity I can bring to the mat and a training room. I am an extremely hard working, dedicated, individual. I am improving each season and I have not yet achieved my full potential. I will be an All American Wrestler. I am not afraid to work for what I want, and my commitment to the sport shows: in my year round commitment to improve. I want to be the best I can. I want to be part of a program that has proven itself, like every athlete desires to be a part of. I would be a good candidate for any team because I know what it takes to be successful and help promote a team’s attitude both mentally and physically. I am different from other recruits because I can be friends with anybody. I treat everybody with the respect they deserve and I am a leader. In athletics I am an extremely hard worker. Some athletes may slow down as the season progresses, but that is not my style. I am continuing my training, pushing myself further and further. I know what it takes to win, I workout and train almost everyday to be the best I can possibly be. I do my best in class, in the training room, and on the mat. If you want an athlete who will give you 110% each and every day, I am your man.
