Tyler Jakes '13 Recruiting Profile

I am 5'11 185 pounds. I am a junior in High School and a five year varsity letter winner in wrestling. Along with wrestling, I also play football as a middle linebacker. I have actively been involved in sports since kindergarten. In wrestling I have made the All-City team two years in a row and I was All-Conference in 2010, 2011, and 2012. I made the Minnesota State Wrestling tournament in 2010 with a record of 30-11 and placing second in section 1aaa. In 2011 I earned All-American honors in the NHSCA Sophomore wrestling tournament. In 2012 I placed 5th at 182lbs at the Minnesota State Wrestling tournament with a record of 42-3. I was also selected to the Minnesota wrestling all-state academic team in 2012. I currently have 137 career wins and 75 career falls. I was also a team captain as a sophomore and junior. I feel I have a good work ethic and I work hard to acheive my goals. Along with athletics, I am currently a 3.95 gpa student with three advanced core classes. My goal is to wrestle in college.
